A multi-room hidden role game with an explosive ending.
Bystanders are being held captive by Bombers trying to Destroy the Bank. There's just one problem! The Bombers have removed their disguises so everyone is confused about who is who. Even the Bombers!
Your only hope is an off-duty Police Officer who happens to be trapped there with you.
Can you identify all the Bombers during the interrogation? Or will the Bombers successfully make your game night a BOOMING success?
The "Game" is played in a different room separate from the other players.
Each turn a player chooses a player to spectate them. They take that player to a different room in real life to perform their action in the game.
Will you be able to figure out who amongst you is secretly trying to place bomb cards into the deck? If you witness it first hand, will everyone else believe you?
Bombers Away creates an intimate sense of betrayal and discussion between you and whoever you choose to watch you perform your action. After all, anything said or done in that room might stay in that room.
These are the basic rules to gain a simple understanding of the game and not intended to teach every aspect of the game. If you would like to see the full rules, please watch the how-to-play video below or download the rulebook on this page.
Each Player is given a Role Card and Two Item Cards from the pre-made item and role deck.
The role card will either be a bomber, bystander, or police and determines your team for the game.
Bombers will be trying to place bombs into the item deck and not get caught.
Bystanders will be trying to stop the bombers.
The Police is on the Bystander team and has the power to shoot down suspected bombers at the end of the game.
The item deck contains Bombs, defusers, and gold.
The rest of the item deck and the special Disarmed Police Role Card are placed in a different physical room from where the players currently are.
So at the beginning of the game, all players are sat in a circle in one room with their cards. In the other room, there is the item deck (where bombers are trying to place a bomb) and the disarmed police card (used for a special bomber team action).
Each player on their turn chooses another player to take out of the room with them. That chosen player follows the player out of the room to spectate them.
The active player then chooses 1 of 3 actions to manipulate the item deck. Whilst the spectator watches every move.
If they are a Bomber they may reveal their role card to the spectator to choose from 3 Special Bomber Actions Instead.
Then both players return to their seats in the original room. That is the end of that player's turn.
After Each Player has taken a turn, the Police reveals themselves and chooses players to shoot. If the Police Succeeds in shooting all the Bombers then the Bystander Team wins.
Otherwise, the item deck is revealed, if there is an active bomb card in the item deck then the Bomber Team Wins.
