Moon's Haunted

Moon's Haunted is a game for 2 to 6 players about an eclectic crew realizing their mission to the moon is more than it seems. By answering questions on cards, you and your friends will create a cast of oddball characters, resolve a series of strange occurrences, and determine whether you can make it back to earth in under an hour of playtime. The gameplay is inspired by games like For the Queen but with just a bit more crunch. It's ideal for those who appreciate both the ease of card games and the storytelling aspects of role-playing games.

In Act 1 you and your friends draw cards and answer the questions on them to create your characters. Each card belongs to one of three categories (interpersonal, technical, or supernatural) and grants a +1 bonus when dealing with problems involving the corresponding category.

In Act 2, the cards have prompts that slowly reveal the strange and spooky things happening on the moon. Together you'll come up with creative solutions to the problems at hand, rolling a rocket-shaped d6 and adding your character's bonuses to determine if you succeed or fail. The problems you don't resolve have secondary prompts that will complicate your escape later in the game.

In Act 3, the cards have prompts that reveal exactly what you're dealing with, and how it's keeping you from escaping. These cards are additionally modified by your failures from the previous act, creating new and exciting story combinations each time you play! You can discard your character cards for big bonuses, but losing all your cards means you'll have to narrate your character nobly sacrificing themself to give your fellow crewmates a chance at making it back alive.

Inside the box is everything you'll need to play the game: rules (including alternate rules to adjust the difficulty and speed of the game), separate decks for each of the three acts, and a special rocket-shaped die.
