Proudly presenting The Tiny Traveler's Tarot!
* I finally designed a tarot deck and it'll be called The Tiny Traveler's Tarot. The reason for the name is because it's small - with easy to handle business-card sized cards - and portable, coming in a durable printed tin container made especially for it. *
*The rationale behind the deck design echoes some of my ideas about how we relate to music. Most of us don't have a special room and audiophile equipment... For it to play a role in our lives it's got to leave the ivory tower, to come with us to the outside world and meet us where we actually are. *
*This deck is portable, practical and simple. It doesn't need an arcane library or access to esoteric reference materials. *
It doesn't even need a big surface - even a large spread like the Celtic Cross can be made on the folding tray of an airline seat!
It's also friendly. It was tempting to throw in all of my study and knowledge to produce an esoteric complicated deck with the entire Arcana, Hebraic assignations, HOGD references and hidden symbolism all over it... but I'm glad I decided against that. This is a deck for using, not for pretentiously stroking your chin over!
Also, and this really thrilled me, it's gonna be super affordable! The decision to go tiny and exclude the Minor Arcana meant I was able to really max out the quality - go high-grade printing, superior cardstock, UV coating, detailed info about every single card, and provide a gorgeous printed tin carrying case - and still keep the price under US$20. I'm glad about that. I'd never want to make something I couldn't afford.
The Tiny Traveler's Tarot includes the 22 Major Arcana, and a card for each that clearly explains it's context and meanings. Gorgeous UV coated cards that come in a robust tin case. Small, durable - easy to travel with and use anywhere. More than an esoteric reference tool, The Tiny Traveler's Tarot is a travel partner for life!
