We're happy to report that we recently delivered the #1 community request on our Ideas system and it's now available! If you didn't know, we have an Ideas page where TGC community members can suggest new products/features and the community votes on them. When ideas get voted up to the the top of the list, our team starts trying to achieve them. It's not always easy for us to do, but we appreciate you telling us the features/products you need and then faithfully using & buying them afterwards. Thank you!
You can now create coupon codes for your creations on The Game Crafter! There are lots of uses for them:
Here are real world examples of game designers using them:
Homepage
We've simplified the home page and it's easier to jump into the Make Games or Buy Games sections of our site. You'll also notice our trusty old friend, Cog, is now featured (in cartoon form) in many areas of our site. Cog has been our community mascot since the early days and we love seeing him on the site!
Shopping
The shopping experience has improved with larger product images, special accolade icons, and new buy buttons.
Make Games
The new Make Your Game page connects designers to the specific things they want. There's a "Make Games" navigation bar with basic information about how to make games and a "My Creations" bar that provides access to all of the projects that the designer has created. This page also features links to all of our services for game designers.
Buy
The Buy page helps people quickly get to what they're looking for and provides direct access to Buy Games, Board Game Pieces, and Game Upgrades. New filters and categories make the shopping experience easier once they're in the shop.
We’ve made several upgrades to our site, and one of them is a new Print and Play Games department. If you create a game that has only downloadable components, your game will be automatically added to this department, making it easier for shoppers to find your games.
The Game Crafter is sponsoring Protospiel Online and we'll be sharing more details about this in the weeks ahead. We love to support indie board game designers and designer events so this is a natural fit for us. :)
