81/100
Final Score
An excellent rulebook with very few errors or omissions. The shop page is somewhat incomplete.

Rules 69/80

Structure 9/9

Well-organized with clearly marked sections.

Requirements 3/3

Technically you can't sell a game to people under 12. (Recently episode 22 of The Game Crafter Official Podcast addressed just that issue.)

Introduction 3/3

My one minor little writing critique would be use a different word instead of "to ferry souls" since ferryman is already used four times and the sound gets a bit redundant.

Overview 2/3

Rather than list every step of the journey, you could include some of the other things you can do in the game like use souls' special powers, sacrifice bulls to the gods, etc.

Component List 5/5

A few nit-picks: The box picture could look 3d. The Soul of the Dead chits could show stacks to indicate that there are more than eight. I think it would be better to say 34 Obol Coins (plural Obolos) and likewise with Drachmas. In English "34 Penny Coins" would sound better than "34 Pennies Coins."

Component Pictures 2/3

Some notes mentioned above.

Setup 10/10

The spaces labeled 1a, 2a, 1b, 2b in instruction number 3 had me a little confused because I was looking for the big red numbers in the diagram. Maybe it could be reworded to emphasize that those are the labels on the board not the diagram. One minor note, technically players should choose their colors and place the corresponding ferry and soul tracker on the board. The way it reads now, it could be any combination of colors.

Setup Pictures 7/7

Good.

Game Play 10/15

Souls of the Dead phase: The organization of the list could be better. There are general rules/requirements like 1, 2, 4. There are specific rules like 3, 10, 11. And there are instructions on what to do on a turn: 5, 6. Breaking up the list or reorganizing would make it less intimidating. In the example movement, you may wish to emphasize the word "not" (bold or color.) Ferry Phase: Is the disembarkation automatic/free movement? Monster check: write out 6-sided die (not everyone knows d notation.) The Pantheon: clarify that "the altar" is the corner of the card. Gods & Goddesses: "least Bulls" should be "fewest." Are favor/wrath applied immediately every time someone sacrifices? Game End: I assume having 6 drachmas would also qualify, so it should really say 36 Obolos worth of money and ties go to the player with the most money. Other comments: I assume you can move souls onto anyone's ferry, not just your own. If that's true, it could bear mentioning. It wouldn't hurt to have more movement examples or examples of delivering souls/scoring if you expanded the book a little. Kudos on the detailed list of credits for Creative Commons images.

Game Play Pictures 5/7

The pictures that are there are fine.

End Point 5/6

Overall Comprehension 3/4

Just a couple of minor questions, above.

Clarity 3/3

Very few errors.

Presentation 2/2

Good.

Shop Presentation 12/20

Ad 2/3

The picture and logo are good, and "Beware the deeps!" is fine as a tagline, but you should have a little more description to entice people.

Backdrop 1/1

Ok.

Logo 1/1

Good thematic, legible font.

Action Shots 4/5

There is a good variety. They would be better if there were some actual photos of actual components, rather than just digital images.

Description 4/5

What is there is an excellent thematic background of the game. What is missing is a technical summary of what play entails. People will want both in order to decide whether to further consider your game.

Video 0/5

None.
