In ASTROYALE, players compete to see who will become the new center of the universe. No pressure!

At its core, ASTROYALE is an easy-to-learn, surprisingly deep, and absurdly tense combination of the card-shedding and battle royale genres. I know what you’re thinking, and yes, it totally works.

2 to 5 players are dealt 10 cards each and take turns playing a card from their hand to the pile in the center. The card you play must match either the number, symbol, or color of the card on top of the pile. If you can’t make a move, you’re eliminated from the game! Deal your remaining cards to the surviving players, and enjoy watching them sweat as tensions rise, building up to a cathartic finale.

A round ends when there is either only one player left, or somebody plays their final card. Every time a player is eliminated, all surviving players score a point. If you manage to play your last card, you eliminate all other remaining players at once, preventing them from scoring while you rack up all the points!

After five rounds, whoever has the most points is declared the Center of the Universe (and gets the last slice of pizza)!
