Battling Spaceships

The designer of Awful Green Things from Outer Space brings us his next space game, Battling Space Ships.

This is a game of high adventure, set in the asteroid belt of a nearby solar system in the not too distant future. Players assume the role of pirates or legitimate traders or both. Your goal is to assemble a fleet of space ships that allow you to score victory points. The ships are put together from pieces dealt from the deck of player cards. When a player has completed a ship, that ship may be sent to attack the ships of other players, attack the space lanes as a pirate, or the player can earn an honest living by delivering cargo. When any one player completes three space ships, the round ends and the players tally their score. Points are scored for delivering cargo, destroying each other, raiding the space lanes, and the parts of the space ships themselves with possible bonus points for the size of your space ships. Two rounds make a complete game. The game is best with 3 or 4 players, but can be played with 5 or 6 players by adding the 22 extra Player Cards included in the game.
