1810: Bussaco simulates this battle in lavish historical details using the "Fix Bayonets!" tactical system. The map was carefully drawn based on multiple historical sources while the unit counters sport the colors of the uniforms that were worn by those combat units that day. Two decks of Leader cards help you determine the order of activation of each of the armies' formations.
This is Volume II of the Fix Bayonets! system, simulating combat at the battalion level between the armies of the Napoleonic Wars. The rules include an emphasis on Command and Control, a card driven initiative activation system and limit the use of informational markers. The combat resolution system differentiates between the effects of fire, infantry assaults and cavalry charges. While not overly difficult, learning the game can be a challenging but rewarding experience for all wargamers.
Note Some drift might occur during the printing process of the counters' backside. In order to fit all the information on them, we had to disregard some of the impossibly wide tolerances demanded by this site's templates. The drift however is rarely large enough to become a playability issue.
