A TRAVEL-FRIENDLY POCKET GAME

GOAL: Form as many interlinked crosswords as you can using just 26 A-Z letters. Get the highest score possible.

MULTIPLAYER GAME: Each player needs their own dry erase game card and dry erase marker.
At the start of a round, one player calls out a 4- or 5-letter word as the "seed" word. The word can only comprise unique letters (since duplicates are not possible), for example JOKE, but not FUNNY. All players write the seed word anywhere within their grid, left to right or top to bottom, with all letters adjacent. Agree upon the number of rounds (3-10).

Players have three minutes to play the round in secret. Players each form their crosswords using just their remaining letters, marking them off once used. Players can rearrange letters as needed to maximize their score.

At the end of the time period, players score their words and show their cards for all players to validate. Orphaned letters and words cannot be scored. Only interlinked crosswords are scored by tallying up their point values. The player with the highest score wins the round and gains one point. If tied, no one wins the round.

Players continue to play additional rounds until someone has won a predefined target number of rounds.

SOLO GAME PLAY: Visit our site and pick a random game. You will get a seed word and target score. Place the seed word anywhere on your grid. Scratch off the these initial letters. Arrange as many of the remaining letters to form crosswords. Score your letters. Try to exceed the target score.

NOTE: The game includes 18 cards, so you can give some sets away as gifts.
