Description

The saying goes, that curiosity killed the cat, well in this house the cats just get bruised a little. Each room has normal household appliances, but to these 4 curious and careless cats, the appliances are now hazards that must be avoided in order to successfully explore the house.

If one lucky cat can avoid the dangers of being burnt, soaked, crushed or frozen to fully explore the house, then the mystical and tasty cheesecake shall be revealed.

How To Play
The 12 room tiles are arranged face down. These 12 tiles can be laid out in a variety of configurations. The screenshots show 3 possible layouts for the tiles.

As players move onto the tiles they are flipped over to reveal the hazard type. The player will roll the dice and add modifiers from their cat card and life card in order to avoid losing a life card.

Life Cards
There are 9 Life Cards available to buff your cat in order to avoid the hazards. Each player is dealt 1 life card at random to start. The remaining cards go face down into a grace pile. If a player looses a roll then they will discard 1 Life Card. If a player exceeds a roll then they can take an additional life card from the discard pile if available.

Movement
Moving the cats is determined by the Cat Mat.
The paw token begins on the space with 1 scratch mark.
All players can only move 1 tile on that round.
On the next round the token moves to the 2nd space and all players will then move 2 tiles. The token moves around the mat clockwise moving from 1 to 6 and back around to 1 again.

Appliances
When a room tile has been landed on once it is turned over. When it is landed on a second time an appliance card is added to the room. Appliance cards have hazard types also meaning that players will need to roll higher than both numbers. once an appliance card is added to the room no additional ones are added.

The Cheesecake Room
Once 11 rooms have appliances in them the remaining room will become the cheesecake room. When a player moves onto the last room tile they will roll the dice. The cheesecake room that matches the number rolled is placed on top of the room tile. The player will need to beat these new hazard numbers in order to claim the cheesecake and win the game.

Notes

  • This game contains a premium upgrade called UV Coating that makes the printed components more durable.
  • This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
