Abominable Bunnies - Fast Paced Rabbit Collecting Game

From Rigby Games comes Abominable Bunnies, a fast paced, action oriented card game for 2-6 players. Abominable Bunnies is easy to learn, family friendly and can be played by anyone that can read.

The objective of Abominable Bunnies is simple, collect 5 of the same bunny. However, things get hairy when someone throws down a Jackalope card, that's when play changes to collecting 5 DIFFERENT bunnies.

Along the way you will use action cards to help you collect bunnies and to prevent your opponents from doing the same. Actions include skipping players, stealing a card from a player, robbing a player of all of their cards, exchanging hands with a player, and making a bunny invisible to another player.

The action of each card is described right on the card. The included details document should answer any questions that pop up about game play and action cards.

To start Abominable Bunnies first have a player shuffle the deck and then deal 5 cards to each player. The deck is then placed face down on the table and becomes the DRAW DECK. One card from the DRAW DECK is turned over and placed parallel to it, this becomes the DISCARD DECK.

The youngest player goes first and on their turn can do one of three things.

1. Draw a card from the draw deck. They must then discard a card to the discard deck, it can't be the card they just drew. If their discard is an action card the ACTION takes place now.

2. Pick up the top card from the discard deck, then discard another card. If it's an action card the ACTION takes place now.

3. If they player has a CARROT card in their hand they can give that card to any other player. That player must hold up their hand and allow the other player to blind draw a card to add to their hand.

The action cards are where it's at. Besides simply discarding an action card there are also VANISH cards that can be discarded AT another player, making a bunny invisible to them. There are also two DEAD cards that kill off a bunny for ALL players until it's reanimated by a REVIVE card. Net 'Em action cards allow you to swipe the top card on the discard deck out of turn.

Everything hops along dandily until a player discards a JACKALOPE card. The Jackalope changes the game objective to collecting five different bunnies. But don't get too comfortable, there are multiple Jackalope cards in the deck and the game objective can be switched at any time.

Once you've collected your five bunnies you can throw down your cards at any time to win, as long as the game objective matches the way you've collected your bunnies, five of the same or five different. You'll know which game objective is in play by the way the draw deck and discard decks are aligned. If they are parallel to one another the objective is to collect five of the SAME bunny. If the decks are at an angle to one another the objective is to collect five DIFFERENT bunnies. The deck position is switched each time a Jackalope is played.

Abominable Bunnies has been tested and perfected through thousands of hands and has been optimized to provide peak entertainment with minimal frustration, except when someone robs you of all of your cards when you're about to win.
