Description
The infamous dread pirate captain and commander of the Black Fleet, Lady Alice “Swiftsword” Veirling is dead!
Her ship, the Last Judgement, was swallowed whole whilst battling the great Sky-Kraken, and in the wake of her death turmoil has befallen the Black Council. Every pirate captain in the belt, yourself included, is vying to fill the power vacuum she left behind. You must defeat your competitors and gain the renown necessary to cement yourself as the new commander of the Black Fleet.
Aces of the Æther is a 2-4 player card game set in a world of endless skies and floating islands. Players take control of pirate airships waging war over a chain of islands known as The Belt.
They must follow the trade winds from island to island, collecting and playing equipment cards. The aim is to assemble a winning hand of cards and hunt down your opponents, knocking them out before they can amass a better hand. Once the deck is depleted all surviving players are thrown into a vicious air battle, with one captain claiming victory and the others limping away to prepare for the next round.
The first player to win three rounds wins the control of the Black Council and the game.
