AMAWSAU Tech Tarot

The march of technology blurs the line between mysticism and mechanism. Reflections in a black mirror can easily reveal places and people far away to those who know how to use them. The same power provides knowledge that could scarcely be imagined as the 20th century began.

Such marvels are available to any who seek them. However, their means are occulted. Only those initiated in the arts arcane know the ways that these wonders are empowered.

By approaching arcane and esoteric technical knowledge through the lens of the mythic sometimes new ideas can be discovered.

By seeking the spiritual through the eyes of the technician perhaps deeper truths can be revealed.

Several changes have been made relative to Waite–Smith Tarot in the efforts to modernize this deck. Much of the symbolism has been updated, including dispensing with Abrahamic references and preferring less overtly gendered terms. However, when using existing references for Tarot decks these changes are mostly transparent.
