Anchor bay is a game that is easy to learn, but hard to master.

Set up the game

Anchor Bay can be set up in 5 easy steps:
  1. Randomly place land tiles on the map.

  2. Place each ship in the hideout matching its color.

  3. Shuffle and place the Land, Sea, three Merchant, and Davey Jones Decks.

  4. Starting with that player that rolls highest, choose ships in clockwise order.

  5. Choose captains in the opposite order, starting with the last person to choose a ship.

On your turn ...

Whoever chose their ship first starts. Players move onto the board using their ship speed. Then the player can fire or board another player to gain loot. After battle the player will draw a land or sea card. Based on the card a player will resolve the card to possibly gain gold.

Turn Structure

  1. Use your speed to move, pick up gold, or repair in your hideout.

  2. Fire at another player OR board another player OR buy/sell from a merchant OR fight a monster

  3. Finally Draw, read aloud and resolve a card unless the following applies:

    • Don’t draw a card if you end your turn in a hideout, merchant, or monster tile.
    • Don’t draw a card if you defeat a monster this turn.
    • Don’t draw a card if you end your turn in the same tile that you started in.

Notes

  • This game contains a premium upgrade called UV Coating that makes the printed components more durable.
  • This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
