Medieval Strategy 1 from Worlde of Legends™ offers two Medieval era games from two different parts of the world reimagined into fantasy-themed premium board games. The game board is high quality, UV-coated, 10-inch-square chipboard that is printed on both sides.
Guard Patrol is a fantasy-themed "Nine Men's Morris" and its variations where your playing pieces are Guards patrolling the city and the goal is to outperform the opponent's guards and send them back to the barracks. The "Men's Morris" games were played throughout Europe in the Middle Ages and some of its variations are popular in Africa. The game board lines are color-coded and the points use symbols to make it easy to play 3-, 6-, 9-, or 12-Men's Morris versions of Guard Patrol. The game comes with a premium game board and 24 acrylic mini-meeples - a red guard faction and a blue guard faction.
Dragon Hunt is a fantasy-themed "Len Choa" where the Adventurers try to capture the Dragon before the Dragon eats them! Are you clever enough to out-maneuver your opponent? Len Choa comes from Thailand. It and similar games were popular throughout Asia as early as the Middle Ages, possibly even earlier. The game comes with a premium game board, 6 wooden Adventurers in six colors, and 1 wooden red dragon.
The traditional game of checkers is believed to date back to the city of Ur in Iraq to at least 3,000 BCE and the more modern form of the game we play today we established in the 12th century. This game, which they call Dreupo in the Kaendor™ campaign world, comes with 24 red and black wooden discs for you to enjoy playing time and time again.
Shaepo is the Worle of Legends™ version of the Native American game Kolowis Awithlaknannai also known as Fighting Serpents. It is believed to be a relative of the game Alquerque which is not only believed to have originated in the Middle East prior to the 12th venture but also is believed to be the parent of many games we know today including checkers. This game comes with a custom game board and 46 purple and yellow translucent cubes to use as the beads that were used in the original game.
Pávré, which means "passing" in the Kaendoran language of the Worlde of Legends™ campaign world, is a Worlde of Legends™ themed version of the Ancient Egyptian game SENET that is believed to date back to 3,100 BCE and is one of the oldest games known. The symbols on the game board not only represent belies or concepts in the Worlde of Kaendor™ but also impact gameplay. This game comes with 10 purple and red gem tokens and a blue starry six-sided die.
Take a look at the action shots below to see details of each game's board and game pieces.
