Apple Dearie? is a social deduction party game for 3+ players based on the classic Grimm fairy tale of Snow White. Players take on the role of witches trying to be the fairest of all the land. On your turn, select an apple (dial), roll the die, and spin the dial equal to the number rolled. Finally, choose a player and (in your best witchy voice) offer them the apple.
Decline, and you may lose your chance at getting points. Indulge, and you could get poisoned (and possibly die). The first to 11 points or the last one standing wins.
Remove all the content from the game box. Place the die, apple dials (face down) and dry erase markers in the middle of the table where everyone can reach. Hand each player a score card, returning the rest to the game box. The last person to eat an apple is the first evil witch.
The evil witch pick an apple from the table, then roll the die. They then rotate the dial clockwise or counterclockwise a number of times equal to the number on the die (Once you've selected a direction, you cannot change it). The witch finally choose a player and say "Apple Dearie?" in their best witch voice.
The chosen player must decide whether or not to eat the apple. If they choose not to eat the apple, they become the witch, take the apple dial, and follow the instructions, keeping the apple they were given. For each additional pass after the first, reduce the die roll by one per person passed to (e.g., if the apple has been passed three times and you roll a 6, move the tile 4 spaces in one direction instead).
If the chosen player decides to eat the apple (or if they are the last player to asked to eat the apple) reveal the dial.
If a SKULL appears, the chosen player has been poisoned. Mark one of the skulls on the poison tracker located on your score card. If a player gets poisoned three times, they die and are eliminated from the game.
If an APPLE appears, the chosen player is safe. Gain points equal to the apple's color. Mark a number of apples equal to the points given on their score card.
Green = 1 / Yellow = 2 / Red = 3 / Purple = 5
The round now ends. Return the apple to the game box. The player who ate the apple (or if they were eliminated, the last player to have the apple) becomes the new witch and starts the round.
The game ends when either all apples in the play area have been eaten (most points win), a player reaches 11 points, or only one player is left standing. In the case of a tie, the person who took the least amount of poison wins.
