Description
This is straightforward card pattern matching game that is a fun family game and includes a touch of strategy. It is quick and easy for multi-generational family play.
The game is played by two players. One side plays apples; the other side plays oranges. The goal is to collect into a single cluster more fruit than your opponent. Initially, the large single orange and large single apple are given to the opponents to identify their side.
The cards are shuffled and placed in a stack. One card is turned face up in center of the table. Then in turn, each player draws a card from the stack, and tries to place it next to the cards that are already on the table. To do so, fruits must align - apples to apples, and oranges to oranges. The cards need not line up. Only the fruit must align.
After each player has played five cards, so that there are eleven cards on the table, the players add up the fruit that they have collected into a single cluster. They count the number within the group to decide who is the winner, and the table is cleared for another round.
Several rounds may be played before the deck of cards needs to be reshuffled.
