Description

Enter Arena Archaica, where you and up to five friends will command powerful gladiators in a last-man-standing fight to the death. Each of Arena’s ten card types have a unique purpose - from the balanced approach of the Secutor to the vicious attack of the Dimachaerus. Attack, block, heal, capture, and even ambush your way to victory.

The simple, color-coded card designs allow players to quickly assess and identify each situation - creating fast-paced, action-packed gameplay.

No dice rolls, no hit points, nothing to slow down the action - just a frenzied free-for-all powered by the stunning art of Nick Sinclair.

Arena Archaica is a simple, casual, fast-paced game of elimination. The goal is to be the last player remaining at the end of each round. Games can be played in one round or several, determining overall game length. (Standard victory condition is first to win 3 rounds)

Players maintain hands by drawing and discarding, attacking their opponents, and blocking incoming attacks. Each player takes their turn attacking the whole group, individual players, or managing their own hand. Players are eliminated when they have lost all of the cards in their hand, or have sustained three wounds - whichever comes first.

The pencil and ink artwork of artist Nick Sinclair brings the abstract gladiatorial world of Archaica to life. The unique mixture of card types, actions, and illustrations draws you into the game and creates fun, casual interaction. Arena Archaica is a casual card game that plays like a party game - it's fast-paced, easy to pick up and understand, and even though it is an elimination-based game, players stay engaged while playing and don't sit out long when eliminated (due to the lightning fast rounds.)

Thank you to the folks who took the time to participate in the Art Tests and playtesting - these are invaluable resources, and much appreciated!
