Description

Ascent: The Himalayas is a standard bidding and trick-taking game at its core. However, be on the lookout for specialty cards that will challenge you as you try to reach the Summit with the highest score!

Objective

Prepare to embark on an epic journey as you ascend the slopes of the Himalayan peaks. The objective is for you (or your team) to have scored the most points at the end of the game when the expedition reaches the Summit.

At each Altitude Level, you make a bid for the number of tricks you think you will take and your goal is to reach exactly that bid without going over or under. If you reach your bid, you receive points; otherwise, you lose points.

Game Play

Ascent: The Himalayas is a trick-taking game. It is played in rounds, with each round taking place at a higher Altitude Level. As the expedition ascends, each explorer gains supplies (cards), at a rate of one per level. Explorers begin at Base Camp on Altitude Level 4 and may travel individually or as teams of 2 in an expedition of 3 to 8 players.
