For the Atercolour Lenormand 2nd Edition, I wanted to build upon the foundation of the original deck furthering the watercolor aesthetic. The gentle washes of color and vibrant tones, which worked so well in the first edition, remain key features in this edition.
I’ve once again included two Gentleman, two Lady, and two Person cards—something I’ve carried forward from the original design. These additional cards allow for more inclusive readings, especially for those in the LGBTQIA+ community, ensuring a wider representation of identities and relationships that may not always be visible in traditional decks.
This edition also includes an updated version of the mid-1800s "Philippe Le Normand" reading instructions, one of the earliest known guides for Lenormand card interpretation. I’ve modernized them slightly to reflect contemporary relationships, especially those within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, while maintaining their historical roots.
My goal with this second edition is to continue offering a sense of comfort and inclusivity, improving upon the original design while ensuring that the deck feels like a welcoming space for all who use it.
