Story

The Dreg were the outcasts of society, living in the toxic wastelands on the outskirts of the mega city Centralia. They were the men and women who had been cast aside by the Federation, deemed unfit for life in the civilized world. Junkies, mercenaries, thieves, and the mentally ill all found a home among the Dreg, a loose community of survivors who lived by their own code.

Despite their lack of resources and the constant danger of the wastelands, the Dreg managed to survive. They scavenged what they could from the ruins of the old world, trading with each other and occasionally raiding the outer edges of Centralia for supplies. They were a tough and resourceful bunch, and they had learned to rely on each other for survival.

It was during one of their scavenging runs that the Dreg stumbled upon an ancient, unknown technology buried in the sands of the wasteland. They didn't know what it was or how it worked, but they were intrigued by the strange symbols and markings etched into its surface. They took it back to their makeshift camp and began experimenting with it, hoping to unlock its secrets.

But their curiosity would prove to be their downfall. In their haste to understand the technology, they accidentally ripped open a rift in the fabric of space-time, unleashing a massive surge of void energy into the world. The Dreg were thrown back by the blast, their bodies wracked with pain and their minds filled with visions of horror.

In the aftermath, the wasteland was forever changed. The sky turned black, and the ground shook with the force of the explosion. Strange, otherworldly creatures began to emerge from the rift, drawn to the void energy like moths to a flame. The Dreg, now were forced to band together and fight for their survival against these new threats.
