A trick-taking card game with a bird theme by Bryan Johnson.
Middle school can be a drag, but luckily your grade’s science teachers have decided to take the class on a field trip to the local aviary. You’ll finally get out of the classroom for a while, but it’s not all fun and games - you will be given assignments by the science teachers while you’re there. Will you buckle-down and observe the birds at the aviary, or will you try to ditch the class? Will you do your best to complete your teachers’ assignments, or will you be distracted by annoying pigeons who find their way into the aviary?
Aviary is a trick-taking card game in which 2-4 players take on the roles of middle school students on a class trip to an amazing open-air aviary to observe birds from around the world. The three teachers chaperoning the trip will be giving assignments to the students, but may occasionally give conflicting or contradictory assignments. It’s up to the students to try and complete the assignments to the best of their ability!
Aviary is Johnson's follow-up game to his 2013 release, Island Fortress.
Suitable for ages 10 and up. Plays in 20-45 minutes.
