B17 Bomber Defense PNP

If you like WW2 wargames like "Queen of the skies" consider this a concise version of said game. B17 Bomber Defense is a solitaire dice & cardgame wargame. Play as the crew of a B17 flying fortress, flying bombing missions in World War 2.

Can your crew survive long enough to complete their bombing mission and be back in time for supper?! Fight and fend of enemy fighters and get through enemy flak to reach your bombing targets in a pivotal role in World War 2 to aid Allied war effort.

This game is originally part of the 2020 Wargame Print and Play Game Design Contest In Board Game Geek. The cards have been slightly upgraded graphically and the original A4 board has been replaced with cards for ease of transportation. The original A4 B17 board is also included as a download option to this game.

This is a print and play game & you need to provide additional components:

4 dice

9 small cube tokens

8 dice for Gunner tokens (or 24 small tokens)

GAME PLAY

On the B17 bomber plan, there are 6 quadrants with a dice no. on each quadrant.

Draw the enemy movement card. If the card indicates fighters are inbound, draw the no. of fighter indicated. And roll a dice to for each fighter to determine their approach vector.

Check for incoming high or low approach targets. Gunner turrets with line of sight may attack the incoming fighters. Any hits score will be rolled on the enemy fighter “hit result” to determine if the enemy craft is destroyed, has seized attacking or continue to press on with their attacks. Roll for enemy attacks (enemy attacks turrets that fires on them) resolve hits and start again.
