About the Game

If you look closely – very closely – you will find a world which bears a very peculiar resemblance to our so-called human world, populated by an extraordinary breed of highly intelligent creatures. These are the Bandersnatch, and they struggle to live in an unforgiving environment full of ferocious predators and unusually, violent weather.

The Story

Although the guilds of the Bandersnatch have no allegiance to one another, during the sudden and terrible storms, truces are had – old feuds and bitter antagonisms are put aside for the time being, and hatchets are buried, at least temporarily. The custom of an automatic weather-truce allows all to seek shelter in the abandoned mines of Bandersnatch Run until the storms break. The weather trumps all, and even predator and prey will spend the nights in quiet until the lightning passes.

As the clouds begin to whiten and the sky blues, all those hiding in the catacombs feel an uneasiness rumble underground. The weather-truce is beginning to fall apart! In a panic your adventurers must survive. Avoid as many rivals as you can. Find a safe passage to the surface. But no one is safe from the monsters awakened in the deeps, many generations ago…

It is a world of incredible courage and mortal fear!

Bandersnatch Run is an exciting, light-strategy game for 2-4 serious gamers! But is just as much fun to play with the family! Lead your adventurers to safety, without revealing who they are; while deducing your rivals’ identities. It is a perilous journey, and they must avoid killer robots, demonic fossils, and monstrous insects. When the weather calms and peace returns to the meadows aboveland, the game is over. The player with the most victory points wins! Who will escape the treacherous deeps and make it safely to the warren?

How to play

1. Each piece is hidden from your opponent.
2. You must escape the abandoned mines of Bandersnatch Run before the storm breaks and Weather-Truce ends!
3. You can attack rival players but doing so reveals your piece.
4. You must pass through the dungeon facing monsters, robots and traps, while collecting treasure.
5. The game mechanics are a blend of Survive! Escape Atlantis and Stratego. The board itself changes and throws challenges and obstacles at you while you move. But you also must be wary of your rival!
