Battle Gardens

Welcome to the Battle Garden! Here you'll take on the role of either a Dragon, a Wizard or a Ranger and discover who is more skilled in long range combat.

With elements of both strategy and luck you'll be using the terrain to gain the best possible advantage while hoping for that perfect dice role.

Gameplay is actually quite simple. Each player sets their colored token on a matching color tile on the board then choose a player to go first. The players then take turns moving 5 spaces on the board. If at the end of the move you have a straight, unobstructed shot at another player then you roll the die and the other player also rolls the die. If your number was higher than theirs then they've been hit. They mark the hit down on paper and play proceeds with the next player. Any ties are re-rolled.

You must always move your token forward without landing on the same tile unless you are able to follow a path that allows you to do so while moving forward. You also cannot move or attack diagonally and you can't land on a space already occupied by another player. If you are unable to move then you either attack or pass.

Now here's where it gets interesting and the strategy really comes into play. If you land on a tile that matches the color of your token you add 2 points to your die rolls. If you land on another player's color tile then you subtract 1 point from your roll. All of the grey tiles are neutral.

In the center of the board is a glowing white tile. If you land on that tile you regain 1 hit point!

If a player is hit 3 times then they are out of the game. The last person standing wins!

Wait, did you just learn all of the rules for playing the game? Yes! Yes you did!

We've saved the best bit for last. The entire game fits on a single, standard sized poker card, including the gameboard, the dice and player tokens!
