Description

Aka Castle Walls, Towers and Courtyards

The four Mason Guilds of Endora are building a new castle for their heir apparent, Prince Merlot. The Red Rook Guild, Blue Rook Guild, Green Rook Guild and Yellow Rook Guild, each think that they are the best, and want to prove their masonry artisanship and be proclaimed the best in the land.

In this game there are two kinds of towers, the bastions (towers at the corners of and along castle walls), and the keeps (normally the solitary and tallest structure in the castle) but here they are the larger towers. Battlements normally refer to the top of the castle walls, but in this game it also refers to the curtain wall (basically, any wall surrounding the castle). In these rules the game pieces will be referred to as Towers, Keeps, and Walls. For further reference, baileys are courtyards, and in this game it is a square completed with one Tower and/or Keep in each corner.

The game ends when all the Walls have been placed. Scoring is based on the number of walls connected to each Tower and/or Keep. On your turn you may do one of the following: Place one Tower or Keep, and one Battlement Wall; Place two Battlement Walls; Reposition one Battlement Wall, or Pass
