Boar Hunt can be played by 2-4 people and takes about 30-60 minutes per game. Boar Hunt is a movement-based strategy game. Each turn you roll the dice for action points (AP) and then use those AP to move, attack, lay traps, cast spells, and capture the Boar. The first player to capture their Boar is the winner.
Boar Hunt consists of several types of tokens with special abilities.
-- Monarch - Must be used to capture the Boar. Can't be killed.
-- Pawn - The basic unit of the game with no special abilities.
-- Hunter - Move more easily through the forest and can set Traps around the board.
-- Hound - Move more easily through the forest and can force other tokens to move.
-- Archer - Able to attack from a distance.
-- Spy - Hidden among the enemy's pawns, your Spy is waiting for the right moment to wreak havoc.
-- Wizard - Just a little bit of magic can change the outcome of the hunt.
-- and more, each with unique abilities that change how you play the game.
Boar Hunt also contains the rules and pieces for two variant games. These games use the basic rules and mechanics of Boar Hunt, but with some slight changes and new objectives.
