Bow is a simple card game that is all about predicting your opponents' moves. Created as a deeper version of a rock-paper-scissors style game, Bow can be learned in seconds. However, unlike rock-paper-scissors, some characters are more powerful than others and characters can only be used once! Can you get into the mind of your opponents, or will you be outsmarted?
A Kingdom is a set of seven Bow character cards. Each Kingdom includes the same seven characters, but the card design for each Kingdom is slightly different. Icons on the top of every card denote the Kingdom: Fire, Lion, Sun, Oak or Ice. In all three game formats, players must select a Kingdom as their starting hand.
Cook: Able to defeat the King (the only character able to do so).
Woodsman: Able to defeat the Dryad and the Cook.
Princess: Able to defeat the Knight, the Woodsman and the Cook.
Beast: Able to defeat the Princess, the Woodsman and the Cook.
Knight: Able to defeat the Beast, the Woodsman and the Cook.
Dryad: Able to defeat the Knight, the Beast, the Princess and the Cook.
King: Able to defeat the Dryad, the Knight, the Beast, the Princess and the Woodsman.
Traditional: Two players play sets of seven rounds where each character card must be played one at a time in any order. Scores are determined based on the number of rounds each player wins in each set. If a player reaches a score of eleven points, or wins all seven rounds in a set, they win the game.
Kings: Three or more players take turns playing cards and challenging until one player has obtained all kings that are in play. The winner of each round takes both cards back into their hand and starts the next round.
Frantic: Plays the same way as Kings Bow except that players do not take turns and can play or challenge throughout the game.
