A game for two players, either as Scientists or the dreaded Mi-Go, competing for brains.
If the Scientists have the majority shielding the brain, it is rescued. If the Mi-Gos have the majority swarming the brain, it is captured.
Majority is decided by the player who has the most protagonists adjacent to the brain.
The winner is the player with the most brains at the end of the game.
Shuffle the cards and deal out five per player, face down. Place another card face up on the table. The rest of the cards can be set aside. Each player takes the top two cards from their pile into their hand.
Players take turns to place one of the two cards in their hand onto the existing cards on the table.
When placing cards, three rules apply:
To determine who rescues/captures brains, count the number of players that are directly touching the brain. The player who has the most sides touching the brain takes ownership of that brain.
Brains that are touching each other are classed as being together - but you still add each single brain. For example, if you have a cluster of three brains, whoever has ownership of these brains adds 3 to their final tally.
Once placed, the player picks up another card from their pile. It's now the next players go.
When both players have no cards left, the scores are counted up to see who has the most brains.
