Description
The game is set in ancient Babylon around the 6th century B.C. The king is seeking master gardeners to help him build the famous Hanging Gardens and that’s where you come in. Wheel and deal with other players, buying and selling plants or build improvements to your garden to make it as impressive as possible. Unfortunately nature can be...unpredictable. Calamity can strike at any time destroying much of your cultivated garden if you didn’t take the proper precautions.
Overview The goal of the game is to build a more impressive garden than your opponents to win over the king. You do this by purchasing plants that give you victory points. Small and plain plants will give you a few points while bigger and more exotic plants will be worth a lot more. Players can bid on plants or sell their own plants to other players.
The overall flow of the game is directed by the game deck. The deck is filled with lots of useful improvements you can buy for your garden or special actions you can take.
Also scattered throughout the deck are Calamity cards. These are nasty disasters that could ruin your garden quickly if you aren't careful. There are also cards in the deck that would grant you immunity to some of the calamities, or you can just throw money at the problem to make it go away. Alternatively you could leave the calamities to run their course and let your opponents deal with them.
There are 4 season cards that will show up in the deck. Each season you tally how many points your garden is worth at that time. Which season it is will affect how valuable your plants are, for example flowers are worth more in Spring when they are in bloom while they are worth less in the cold of Winter.
Once Winter is over, everyone adds up their score and the player with the most points is the winner!

This game contains laser cut components. Laser cut items will have a slight amount of soot around the edges, which can easily be wiped off; and will have a campfire smell for about a week after you open them.
