)Welcome to Building Links! This is a card game where players build a hand where their cards are linked in some way. Each player will get 6 cards, a building game piece and a poker chip of the same color.

The dealer gives each player 6 cards. Place the building game pieces on "Start" and the deck of cards in the middle with one card turned up to start the discard pile. Play will move in a clockwise direction. The person to the left of the dealer will begin. When it is a players turn, they will draw a card either from the draw pile or discard pile and discard a card.

The goal is to find some link, connection, or similarity between four of your cards. When a player has assembled four cards with a link, the player will place the four cards in front of them, say what the link is. That player will move their building game piece 4 spaces.

Next the remaining players put their poker chips in the black bag. The player with the link, draws one poker chip from the bag. The person whose chip is drawn is the challenger and gets two points if they have a card that can also be linked to the four that are in play. The challenger loses two points if they can't match the link and the person with the original link gets the 2 points. There are six points awarded each round. Points are counted by moving the buildings along the score sheet.

New cards are dealt for the next round. The new dealer is the person to the left of the previous dealer. Play continues until one player earns 40 points. The person with the most points is the winner!
