Bushido is a two player card battle game that relies on being able to outwit your opponent and anticipate their every move. Each player will assume either the role of the honorable samurai or the cunning ninja. Each of these unique roles have their own distinct advantages that they can leverage to get the edge in combat over their opponent; however, it will be up to the players to best utilize the different but equally powerful tools that are made available to them. There is very little luck involved in a game of Bushido. The player with the better decision making and that can stay steps ahead of their opponent will surely win the day!
Average game time is 10-15 minutes. Best played in a best of 3 or 5 game format.
Both players start a game of Bushido with a set 10 card hand. Players select a card from their hand and place it face down in front of them. Once both players have selected a card, the cards are flipped over, and combat is resolved. A card will be a; Counter, High/Low Attack, Block, or Recall card. This circle of game play is continued until a player receives seven damage. (If both players reach seven damage with the same attack the game continues until a player deals damage while not receiving damage.) The discard piles of both players can be viewed by the players during the game, this allows the players to deduce the likelihood of the card that their opponent is going to play, so that they can play the appropriate counter card.
