Who changed history more, Cicero or Augustus? Who inspired more stories, Hercules or Jupiter? Ancient learning and ancient fun unite in CARD-tamen™ Rome!

CARD-tamen™ is an exciting new card game developed by The Pericles Group (www.practomime.com). Intended to promote intelligent discussion and debate about a myriad of topics, CARD-tamen™ consists of decks of CARDs (Classical Attunement Reward Devices) organized around particular themes. Players have two minutes to provide the most compelling argument as to why their chosen CARD wins a controversy from a list provided with the game.



CARD-tamen™ Rome, The Pericles Group's first CARD-tamen™ set, is designed to accompany the Operation LAPIS (http://www.practomime.com/lapis/lapis.php [www.practomime.com]) program. CARD-tamen™: Rome also works beautifully as a stand-alone game involving topics from Ancient Roman culture. This game plays well in any setting, in or out of the classroom.

A rules card and card containing the controversies is included with the game. A d20 (not necessary, but encouraged, for play) is not included.

All CARD-tamen™ Decks are completely compatible with one another. You can mix and match for incredible play discussions.
