Game Summary

Cat Conquest is an asymmetrical, engine-building card game for 2–4 players. Each player represents a Tomcat (TOM) competing with others for control of the neighborhood. Starting the game without any resources, you must conquer neighborhood properties, enlist additional cats into your colony, and gather resources.

Players must adapt to the evolving state of the game. The varied strategies, combined with the randomness of the risk/reward DRAW deck, ensure that no two games are the same.

Objectives The first to complete 3 objectives and stockpile 8 coins wins. Defeating a TOM or PROPERTY counts as an objective.

Core Mechanics

The game revolves around six primary strategies that players can choose during their turn: ATTACK, RECOVER, DRAW, SCAVENGE, FORAGE, and FORTIFY. Each strategy requires players to adapt their tactics based on the current situation and their opponents' actions.

ATTACK: Defeat opponents' COLONY cards, TOMs, and PROPERTIES to collect loot or meet game objectives.
DRAW a card from the PLAY DECK. This risk/reward deck contains COLONY cards, BUFFs, DEBUFFs, CONSEQUENCEs, and BUFF TOMs.
SCAVENGE: Acquire FISH TOKENS to pay ATTACK costs or play BUFF cards.
FORAGE: Collect COINs to upgrade your TOM or stockpile to complete a game objective.
FORTIFY: Upgrade your TOM, enhancing its attack or health stats.

PLAY DECK: Card Types and Their Roles

COLONY

Additional cats join your colony, aiding in battles to defeat PROPERTY cards or an opponent’s TOM or COLONY cards.

BUFF and DEBUFF

Offer advantages to the player or impose disadvantages on opponents.

CONSEQUENCE

Although rare, can dramatically change the game for the person drawing them, creating significant setbacks.

BUFF TOM

Provide powerful upgrades to your TOM, significantly enhancing its stats.
