Catch The Cryptid/Hunt The Human is a 5-10 minute secret role game with two identities; this 2 in 1 card game with beautiful artwork pits Cryptids vs. Humans. Utilize bluffing, hidden information, and deduction to find out who is the Cryptid (if playing Catch The Cryptid) or find out who is the Human (if playing Hunt The Human). What sets this game apart from other secret role games is all of the players could be Cryptids or Humans, and if guessed incorrectly, every player loses! Players only get 1 Action card to figure out hidden information but they may ask as many questions as they like; it's up to the other players to be truthful or to outright lie. Players must vote to decide and majority rules! Players may also choose to play a variant where 2 players can either be Cryptids or Humans, and the odds are stacked against you as both must be accused!

Choose a version to play! We'll play Catch the Cryptid. Players may choose which cards will be in the game (Role Cards and Action Cards) or randomly shuffle them; make sure there are the same amount of Human Role Cards as there are players plus 1 Cryptid. Each player receives 1 Action Card and 1 Role Card facedown.

HOW TO PLAY Choose a version to play! We'll play Catch the Cryptid. Players may choose which cards will be in the game (Role Cards and Action Cards) or randomly shuffle them; make sure there are the same amount of Human Role Cards as there are players plus 1 Cryptid. Each player receives 1 Action Card and 1 Role Card facedown. Then place the extra Role Card and Action Card facedown out of play. These are known as the Hidden Cards. Players then can start asking questions and players can be truthful or fib! Players can also play Action Cards that will reveal information about the other players. Once you start learning clues, you can accuse a player of being either a Cryptid (in Catch the Cryptid) or a Human (in Hunt the Human). A majority decision of accusations against a player ends the game and that player must reveal their Role Card! Beware though! All players could be a Human! And if decided incorrectly, everyone loses!
