Children of Tantalus

Children of Tantalus is a dice game for 2-6 players, giving you control over the fate of a doomed family. Each player will command a separate branch, raising new descendants (each with a unique ability) to champion their lineage.

The destiny of your branch is decided by the game's Fate Dice. Each turn, you will roll these dice to gain the god's favor. But, for each point you gain, you must set aside two of your dice. When you choose to pass play to the next player, you must roll your remaining dice in an attempt to escape your fate. Should the Doom faces outnumber the Sanctuary faces, that's another descendant of Tantalus that'll need burying. However, even from beyond the grave, your descendants gain new abilities, ever affecting the game's outcome.
