Click-Click, Buzz-Buzz, Nom-Nom! is a tiny hex-grid movement game for 2 players, featuring strategic choices and simultaneous turns. Each player operates a tiny wind-up dinosaur. Those dinosaurs race around trying to collect the most pepperonis.
It's as easy as 1-2-3:
Click-Click. "Wind-Up" your dino by rotating it clockwise 1-5 "clicks."
Buzz-Buzz. For every "click" you turned, move your dino forward exactly 1 space.
Nom-Nom! Eat that pizza! If you hit any slices while moving, they're yours. Collect them and save them for game-end scoring.
Take simultaneous turns until 1 dino chomps down its 5th slice of pizza. Then count your pepperonis to determine the winner.
1.) Cut out the pieces along each of the dashed white lines.
2.) Scatter the pizza slices on the table.
3.) Choose a dino. Take its 2 matching tokens. Flip one of them dino-side-up and put it in front of you, about 6" from the edge of the table, facing toward center. Flip the other token to the "spacer" side and place it just center of your dino.
Each player winds up and moves their dino. Along the way, the dino eats any pizza it touches. Collect these pizza slices for game-end scoring.
After both players finish a turn, they start a new turn. Turns are simultaneous, but not real-time—wait for both players to finish a turn before you wind up again.
Once either player collects their 5th slice of pizza, finish that turn. Then count the pepperonis. The player with rhe most is the winner!
If this game makes it to the semi-finals in the Single Card Contest, we'll create the "Wound-Up Round-Up" series. That includes a larger version of this game, with hefty punchouts, more pizza toppings, and some strategic twists. We'll also commission art for new variations, so you can mix and match them and play with up to 6-players at a time!
Other variations could include:

EMILY WILLIX is a game designer who loves creating fun, thinky games in small packages. She’s always on the lookout for ways to make games more earth-friendly, and operates her company, Small Furry Games, from a solar- and wind-powered sailboat currently located in the Dominican Republic. When she’s not designing games, Emily is probably proofreading another game designer’s rulebook. Or playing a game. Or thinking about games. But when she’s not doing anything game-related, she spends her time making YouTube videos, maintaining an old boat, and playing music with friends.
