Description
In Cosmos, you lead a private space colonization effort. As you stretch back the dark borders of unknown space, buyers from Earth will approach you with offers to buy the resources your colonists control. Build up your colonies and infrastructure to fulfill their requests, and play the market to get the best price--all while competing with other colonists for the biggest pile of cash in the Cosmos!
A typical game takes about 45 minutes. Cosmos is simple enough for casual gamers to enjoy, yet complex enough to intrigue more competitive players. Turns are quick, and the game mechanics are easy to grasp.
Most conflict in Cosmos is indirect, making this a great game for two players who may be mismatched in competitive nature or gaming experience. The game is designed to be something couples and families will enjoy together without starting a fight, causing a divorce, or leaving anyone behind.
Cosmos is a fairly short game set in a deep world of space exploration, empire-building, and economic maneuvering. If you like seeing your sprawling civilization spread out through the galaxies--or if you like crafting epic combinations to set up massive victories--or if you just like sitting around with some friends casually exploring the universe, this could be your new favorite game. Enjoy!
Cosmos is easy to learn, teach and understand. When you get into the game however, you quickly realize you have some work to do if you are going to win.
