Cows of War

War has broken out between the tribes of cows. The stench of the neighboring herd lingers in the air. The cows of these parts have learned to build walls and they must be stopped. If they cannot be contained, they must be chased out. Procure the land necessary to grow your tribe and strategically acquire the upper hand by expanding your territory and building walls to trap the opposing cow tribe. But be careful to avoid being gated in by your neighbors.

Cows of War can only be played with 2 tribes. You could form teams and play, but basically it's a 2 player game.

Gameplay consists of buying land and walls to zone out your enemy and adding to your heard by buying more cows to place on your existing land. Placing land is your method of attack in this quick and intuitive gameplay. The game has a strategic feel similar to classic games such as chess, checkers, and backgammon where every choice you make has substancial impact on the outcome of the match.

Game length is similar to a game of chess. Like chess, it's greatly dependant on the skill of the players. Games can be pretty short, but usually end up being 30-60 minutes long. That being said, they can go longer than that too on occation. But games longer than an hour long are pretty rare.
