Introduction

In Craftmaster, players take on the role of amateur beermakers competing to become a master of the craft. Starting with only a clean water source and dream, each player must build an arsenal of delicious beers to win over each patron with locally brewed favorites or popular guilty pleasures.

As a budding brewmaster, you will use your on-hand ingredients to create fine craft beer, and use those beers to win over patrons and score reputation points.

Popular beer scenes are difficult to stand out in, while others can be a niche of your own. Race against your competitors to earn the highest reputation and declare yourself a master of the craft.

Craftmaster was created based on present recorded drinking preferences of all 50 states. This includes locally brewed favorites as well as most popular by total sales. So grab your favorite beer and friends to enjoy the evening – or whenever – on us!

Are these real beer recipes?

These recipes are created based on official recipes provided by leaders of each particular style of beer either past or present. That said, beer is a very enjoyable but complex mix of chemistry and biology, with quantites and variations far too complex to gamify entirely in an approachable way. If you'd like to know more about a certain style, reach out to your local brewmaster for more information. Or contact us, as we obviously love talking about beer!

Where did this selection of beers come from?

These beers were selected based on queries to over a dozen third-party databases tracking the popularity and sales of beer in the US. Resources include the American Brewers Association, BeerAdvocate, Untapped, Zymurgy, and anuntold number of national, regional, and local brewer and tourism publications. There was...very little concensus, but we tried our best.

Why is my favorite beer not listed?

The base version of this game was created to make the process of beermaking as accessible as possible. As such, concessions were made in very few instances to make this game more compact (e.g. Spotted Cow is very popular in Wisconsin, but not popular enough throughout the country to warrant adding the unique ingredients and beer card to the mix. We still love you Cheeseheads!). We are looking to add region-specific booster packs in the future so you can cater the game to your preferences. If you have a specific expansion request, please reach out to us so we can look into it asap.
