Crazy Kitties

Crazy Kitties builds on many of the traditional mechanics of card shedding games that have come before, but adds elements to keep the game flowing fast and furious, some might even say... Crazy.

Crazy Kitties is a card shedding game with a dexterity aspect that keeps you on your toes at all times! If you are tired of games that lure you to sleep while waiting for your turn, Crazy Kitties is the game for you! Fully embrace your inner kitten by gaining four Purrfect Paws, or, if you're short on time, leave them in the box and play a lightning quick, exciting round of Crazy Kitties!

Each player is dealt their starting hand—that is, seven cards plus one card for each Purrfect Paw that player has.

The dealer flips the starting card, and the player to the left of the dealer can start.

Players take turns playing cards that either match the suit or the icon of the last card played, or if a player has the exact same card (suit and icon) they can play out of turn! When a player plays out of turn, play resumes from their position as though it was just their turn. Since players can play out of turn, it is possible for one player to play multiple cards in a row if they have multiple identical cards in their hand!

In addition to being able to play out of turn, some Kitties require certain actions to be performed; the last player to perform the action must draw a card. Continue reading in the "Meet the Kitties" section to hear more!

The first player to play all their kitties is the winner of the round and is awarded a Purrfect Paw card! Once a player receives four Purrfect Paws, they are declared the winner and should immediately find a warm spot in the sun to curl up and take a nap.

Todd Hicks is the primary designer behind Hicks Board Games. He is blessed with five children, which he refers to as his play testers, and a loving and supportive wife. He lives on a hobby farm in southeast Minnesota where his family raises chickens, goats and you should have guessed it, Crazy Kitties!
