What is Cross Blade?

Cross Blade is a quick-playing duel Adaptable Card Game where all players share three community draw piles to power up their unique characters. Multiple modes of play allow players to oppose each other head-to-head or combine forces to fight common foes. You will need to learn how to play your character, study your opponents and how they work, and learn the ways of outwiting and out lasting your enemies.

What is an Adaptable Card Game?

Unlike most Traditional Trading Card games, Cross Blade comes with all of the cards you need to play with in each set. But what is unique about Cross Blade is that rather than focusing on collecting, it focuses on replayability.

The core system of Cross Blade was designed to be versatile, allowing MANY ways to play the game with the same contents of each box. This will allow the game to grow exponentially, making sure no cards ever drop off and are usable in any way you and your friends would like to play! Four Asymetric Characters!

The Core Set of Cross Blade ACG comes with 4 playable Characters, which will be added to with future box releases. Each with their own Passive and Activated Abilities, Playstyle, and Tactics! The 4 in the Core Box are:

The Warrior

A savant with sword and shield, the Warrior comes ready to last.

Your main tactics with the Warrior will always be Shield, Shield, Shield! While he has a hefty amount of health, his hardest hits aren't the strongest. Knowing when and where to strike is everything.

The Monk

Swift and Powerful as a Raging River, this Monk is relentless.

Knowing when to strike and when to block are two entirely different schools of thought. Yet the Monk is a Master of both. Using his mastered strength, wear your opponents down with strike after strike.

The Warlock

Dark secrets surround the Warlock, and she won't answer to anyone.

Having unlocked knowledge beyond our comprehension, the Warlock is now a walking port of Destruction. Hit hard, hit true, and burn it all down. That is her goal. Though sometimes the fire burns her too.

The Huntress

Fleet of foot and fleet of arrow, strike hard and strike fast.

The Huntress may not be the strongest, but her constant, accurate arrows hit their mark every time. Not to mention, she is really hard to hit. Utilize her multi-action turns to fill up her Power Bar and let the arrows fly!

The Game.

Below you will find some specifics on how Cross Blade ACG works, plays, and what is contained in this Core Set.

Compact, yet Robust.

While Cross Blade ACG: Core Set only contains 116 cards, already there are at least four ways to play with one variant, doubling that number! Not to mention, with the core system of the game, it is infintely exponential, where no two games will be alike no matter the style of play you choose.

Unique Deck System.

Rather than constructing individual decks to then fight your opponent, a new perspective was taken to the field of battle. Having three decks, shared amongst all players, at your disposal gives the opportunity not only to stack the odds in your favor, but to put obstacles in your opponents way.

Most Playable Characters have a preffered card type: Melee, Support, or Ranged. This opens the opportunity to stack cards you might never see in piles you will never touch, but that your enemies rely on. Soon, with the upcoming Construction Kit, you will be able to craft your perfect plan to win against your foes!

No Need for Dice.

With everything tracked by cards and their placement, from Health to your Ultimate Ability, cards are your only component. To help with affordability and setup time, this was designed specifically with the Player in mind.

Cross Blade ACG is a product focused on quality, speed and easy of play, and replayability/expandability for intruiging and growing levels of content. It is an excellent introductory game to the genre as well as a tool to grow understanding of board games as a whole. Not to mention, intuitive play will keep veterans and newbies alike invested in their play!
