Cross Stitch is a competitive deduction microgame for 3-7 players.
One player - the Clue Giver - secretely selects two digits between zero and nine. Using the reference section on the card, the Clue Giver then counts the number of cross stitches in each row, adds them together, and tells the other players the total.
Now, the other players race to find the missing digits!
In this example, the Clue Giver has selected four and nine. She marks these two digits on the back of the card (or, if a dry erase marker isn't available, on a sheet of paper) and then counts up the stitches in each row. There are 5 stitches in the top row, 4 in the second row, and so on.
On the front of the card, she writes ONLY the totals from each row. Now, the Guessers must use logical deduction (or trial and error) to identify the two digits!
After all players have been the Clue Giver once, the player with the highest score wins.
