The object of Crossing the Abyss is to throw off the shell of your individuated self and return to the starry bosom of Nuit and the glory of Pan, Io Pan! Or it's a fun casual card game of esoteric book collecting and (optional but encouraged) ritual performance inspired by Aleister Crowley and the Magick of Thelema, maybe it's both.
