As the clock strikes midnight, masked figures glide across the ballroom floor. Deception, intrigue, and mystery swirl through the air. Who can be trusted? Who is hiding their true nature behind the mask? The night is young, but dawn waits for no one. The only question left to answer is,
“Who will survive the Dance Macabre?”
Step into the hauntingly beautiful masquerade and uncover the secrets hidden within. Designed for 3 to 8 players, Dance Macabre is a gothic party game that combines deduction, strategy, and roleplay in a thrilling race against time.
In Dance Macabre, each player takes on the role of a masked guest at a mysterious ball. Monsters, Tricksters, and Spirits lurk among the revelers, each with their own secret objectives. As alliances shift and hidden agendas unfold, players must outwit one another to claim victory before dawn.
Every game is a dance of deception. Use your character’s special abilities to gather clues, sabotage your enemies, and fulfill your hidden win conditions. Even eliminated players stay in the game as Ghosts, haunting rooms and influencing the outcome in clever and unexpected ways.
The night unfolds over several turns, with each player taking actions in sequence:
Unmasking your foes is just the beginning. Manage your Incognito Meter carefully—lose all your energy, and you’ll join the Graveyard. As a Ghost, you can still haunt rooms, revive discarded cards, or manipulate the game to help your allies from beyond the grave.
Set in a richly imagined gothic ballroom, Dance Macabre brings its theme to life with dark humor, evolving alliances, and a touch of the supernatural. It’s the perfect blend of deduction and dramatic flair, making every game a memorable experience.
Drawing inspiration from social deduction games like Werewolf and Shadow Hunters, Dance Macabre adds fresh twists with its stealthy Incognito Meter, dance mechanics, and the haunting presence of Ghosts. It’s easy to learn yet layered with strategic depth, making it ideal for both casual players and seasoned gamers.
