Defiance of the Gods: The Rift Booster Box Alpha Edition

Welcome to the world of Defiance of the Gods: The Rift. Defiance of the Gods is a trading card game where players deploy their forces in order to defend and attack strategic locations on the battleground. You must move your forces across the battleground in order to attack and eventually destroy your opponent’s Capital. Along the way your warriors, generals, and gods will be under attack from your opponent’s forces and tactics that can pose a threat at any time. Additionally your opponent may have placed terrains on the battleground to impede the movement of your forces. These terrains will cost you resources to remove from the battleground so that your forces can attack your opponent’s Capital and other strategic locations. Your resource to play forces is gold and is generated by your Capital and other locations such as outposts. Sometimes you will find treasures that help provide additional gold to fund your campaign. Defiance is a game of position and resource management. Learning where to position your forces in relation to your opponent’s forces is very important and will take time to master. Another consideration is that your forces move and attack according to their movement diagrams and in some cases will not be able to attack or defend targets simply because they lack the movement to do so. This layer of position and strategy is what makes Defiance so immersive. Fortify your position, attack, and destroy your opponent’s Capital to win!

Each Booster Box contains 20 non-foil booster packs.

Each booster pack is random and contains 18 cards in total. There are 2 Rares, 4 Uncommons, 11 commons, and 1 Masterpiece Series Art Card in each pack.

Ultra-Rares will replace a Rare when present in a pack. It is possible to get two Ultra-Rares in one pack as there are two Rare slots. There are 10 Ultra Rares in the Set.
