You thought you were pretty lucky when a stranger handed you a ticket to an exclusive movie screening. The fact that it was being held at a mysterious theater that had been closed since the mid 80’s made it just that much more exciting.
It was great at first. Everyone was hanging out in the lobby, looking at props from the movie. A motorcycle, a sword, even a creepy mask. It looked like it might be a horror movie.
As the movie starts playing, you see that you were right. In fact, it’s one of the most disturbing movies you’ve ever seen. It’s almost disorienting. You swear you can even feel the theater moving around you. It seems to be affecting the rest of the audience as well. You see people looking away, bending over, and even groaning. Then people start screaming… and changing.
You and some others are able to barricade yourselves in the lobby. You run for the doors, throw them open, and find solid walls of earth.
A woman says that she thinks the movie is causing this. That it needs to be shut off. She may be right, but you think there might be a bigger problem. You’ve realized that the sinking feeling you felt during the movie was real, you can still feel it, and that the theater is descending into the ground- hence the walls of earth blocking the exits.
Regardless of what’s causing all this, you know that there isn’t much time. You need to find a way out before the theater drags you straight to Hell.
You suddenly hear a loud, splintering, sound and turn around to see that the barricade to the auditorium has been shattered. The dozens of glowing eyes in the darkness beyond make you wonder how right you might be.
**Demonic is the first in a planned series of inexpensive, stand alone, pocket games with similar mechanics and horror themes. Like the “penny dreadful” stories of the 1800s, these games will offer big scares and fun at a small cost. Easy to learn, easy to carry, quick to play, hard to survive!
