Dodgy Wiring is a short game of deduction and confusion for two players with very different roles. One is a homeowner trying desperately to learn how to turn all their lights on. The other is a dodgy, conniving, paid-by-the-hour electrician who has wired the lights up with some very strange logic and wants to confuse the homeowner for as long as possible.
The homeowner plays with the switches each turn and observes the outcomes to deduce the wiring rules. Their goal is to turn all the lights on before their money runs out.
The electrician earns some of the homeowner's cash each turn, and can pay for abilities that confuse the homeowner's attempts to deduce the truth. After one round players swap roles and the overall winner is the electrician who made the most profit.
Except there's one more thing... The electrician can sometimes setup the wiring so that it is impossible to turn all the lights on at the same time! If the homeowner correctly detects the Dodgy Wiring they win immediately! But if they were wrong and the electrician can prove it's possible, they instead lose the entire game. Using abilities sparingly to sow confusion at the right moments is the electrician's key tactic!
Please note: This is the premium edition of Dodgy Wiring. There is a cheaper cards-only version that doesn't have laser cut pieces for the lights and switches, the game box, or stands for the electrician's cards. The rules are identical.
