Description

Dungeon Builders is a game of building dungeons and walking through them. There are two game modes you can play.

Game 1

2-4 players Setup: Shuffle the dungeon cards. Give cards to each player randomly, for 2 players – 12 cards for each, for 3 players – 8 each, for 4 players – 6 cards for each player. The goal of each player is to make longest connected path with their cards.

Each dungeon card consists of steps. The players then put down a pawn in the beginning step of any path they wish. Then each player puts monsters on the other player’s path – 3 for 4 players game, 4 for 3 players game, 6 for 2 players game. Monsters should not be on the same step or touching each other in a step with another monster or pawn. Now players throw dice, the player who rolled the least amount then goes first Move: Each player throws the dice after another player move. The player moves the pawn the same number of spaces as what you rolled. The pawn can’t move twice along the same path. If the pawn will stop on the same step as a monster then the pawn should be moved by another player to the first step of the next card that is adjacent to this dungeon card and continues the path. The step for the pawn is chosen by another player. If there is an intersection in which you can move more than one way, you need to go straight. Win: The player who exits their path last – wins!
SLOW AND STEADY wins the race!!! See the design stage video if you want to understand how to play the game (number of cards and monsters is different in the last version of the game)

Game 2

2 players Setup: Shuffle cards. Players work together to build longest connected path that they can with the Dungeon Cards. Each card path consists of steps. One player puts down a pawn on first step of the path another player puts a pawn on last step of the path. Then each player puts 3 monsters on any one of the steps. Monsters should not be on the same step or touching each other with another monster or pawn. Now the players throw the dice, player with greater number gets to go first. Move: Each player throws the dice after the other player moves. Move the pawn through the path. If the pawn will stop on the same step as a monster then the pawn should be moved by another player to an adjacent Dungeon Card with path and step that this pawn already passed. So pawn should again walk down the same path. If there is an intersection in which you can move more than one way, you need to go straight. Win: The player who exits the path first – wins!
SPEED IS KEY!!!!! See the design stage video if you want to understand how to play the game (number of cards and monsters is different in the last version of the game)
