Dungeon Crawler is an atmospheric adventure for two players. Play either as the Monk or as the Monsters. Choose between long and short game play rules for excellent replayability value. Playing as the Monk, fight your way through the Courtyard - into the Foyer - passed the Sanctuary - and into the Dungeon. Each level is based on an ancient strategy game as described in the included manual. The treasure awaits you at the end!
Each level is based on one ancient strategy game (such as 9 Men's Morris) as described in the manual. The first level is Monk vs. Skeletons, while in subsequent levels the Monk takes control of blue skeletons to use in the battle. Valid spaces are marked by a dot on the map. Goal of each level varies as do legal moves - marked by dotted lines.
If the Monk fails a level the Monsters gain a crystal "treasure" token and the Monk will have to start the level over again. The Monk loses if it becomes impossible to gain a majority of the treasure tokens. The Monsters lose when the Monk defeats the final level.
The D20? You know you can always use a spare. A send-up of classic table-top role-playing games without the need for extensive planning or character sheets played with miniatures. What's not to love?
